End User Licence Agreement

The Intelligence Horizon

This agreement is between you and Alžan Turlybekov, a sole trader registered in the Czech Trade Licensing Register (IČO 07078994), with a registered business address at Zlatnická 281, 250 73 Jenštejn, Czech Republic ("we", "us"), the maker of The Intelligence Horizon (the "game"). By installing or playing the game you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install or play the game.

If you got the game through Steam, the Steam Subscriber Agreement also applies. Where the two conflict on how you obtained or access the game, the Steam Subscriber Agreement prevails.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the game for your own non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control.

The game is licensed to you, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights in it, including its code, rules, text, art, sound and the name "The Intelligence Horizon", except what this agreement grants you.

2. What you may not do

Except where the law gives you a right that cannot be limited, you may not:

• copy, sell, rent, lend or sublicense the game;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the game, other than as allowed by law;
• remove or change copyright notices or the third-party licence notices;
• use the game, or its art and text, to train machine-learning models;
• use cheats, exploits or automated tools that give an unfair advantage in games with other people, or that disrupt servers. The game's built-in computer players are fine.

The game's parts that are published as open source, if any, are covered by their own licences, not by this section.

3. Playing online

You can play on your own computer, in games hosted by friends, on public servers run by others, or on our official servers.

Servers others run. We do not control them and are not responsible for them, or for what their operators or players do.

Behave decently. When you play with others, do not:

• harass, threaten or impersonate anyone;
• post hateful, sexual, illegal or private material in chat or player names;
• spam;
• try to access other players' profiles or a server's data.

Removal. Hosts can remove or ban players from their games. Server operators, including us on official servers, can ban players from a server. We can do so without notice if you break this agreement.

Your chat and names. Chat messages and player names are yours. You let us, and the host of the game, store and show them to the other players of that game, for as long as the game is kept.

Availability. Online features may change or stop, and we do not promise that official servers will always be available.

4. Your data

How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, available in the game under Credits & legal.

5. Updates

We may update the game, for example to fix problems or change its rules or balance. Some updates may be needed to keep playing online.

6. Third-party components

The game includes third-party software, fonts, images and 3D models, each used under its own licence. They are listed, with their licences, in Credits & legal → Open-source licences and in the THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES file that comes with the game. Those licences govern those components. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under them.

7. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Some places do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from the game. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the game.

None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Your consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that this agreement cannot take away, including statutory rights about the quality of digital content where you live. Nothing in this agreement affects them.

10. Ending this agreement

You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the game. We may end it if you break it seriously. When it ends, you must stop using and delete the game.

Sections 2, 6, 7, 8 and 11 continue to apply.

11. Law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts of the Czech Republic.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring proceedings there.

12. Other

• If part of this agreement is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a term, we have not waived it.
• We may change this agreement for future versions of the game and will tell you in the game or on its store page.
